iPhone 7 Rendered With Edge to Edge Design, 6.2 mm Thick Chassis









The body is made using sapphire crystal and the touch surface is made using graphene. Inside there’s the Apple A9 chipset and the M9 coprocessor, while the screen offers a 2160p resolution. The result is a 6.2 mm thick handset with speakers placed at the sides and interestingly the volume rocker and Power button have been combined into a single mechanism on the left.
At the bottom there’s an USB type C port and the back side features a glowing Apple logo, that will glow when notifications come. It also includes biometric sensors, that will track your health and activities. Specs include 2 GB of RAM, a 12 MP camera, a 2100 mAh battery and 5 MP selfie camera. The diagonal remains at 4.7 inches.

Sony Xperia Z5 Press Pictures Leaked, Detailing 23 Megapixel Camera



It really feels like it’s the end of the holidays, since designers aren’t churning out concepts like they used to. In lack of something better, we turn to renders, like the ones below. So, it appears that Sony Xperia Z5 has just leaked in a few press pictures.


The device keeps the usual rectangular form factor and I can’t seem to spot its Power button with fingerprint scanner. Apparently, the leak is pretty much official, since it comes from Sony Mobile’s social media channels. Anyway, the future Sony flagship is coming to IFA 2015, with a 23 megapixel camera at the back, sporting a 1/2.3 inch sensor, of the Exmor RS variety.
We see a slightly rounded and massive metal frame on the sides and a flat glass panel upfront. Another piece of news says that there will also be an Xperia Z5 Premium model, a bigger phablet version of the Xperia Z5, with 4K resolution. The Xperia Z5 Compact is still in the cards as well. Frankly, I was hoping for more design innovation, but I’m guessing the Power button with fingerprint scanner and perhaps an edge to edge screen is the best we can get.

Nexus 5.2 Rendered With Android Marshmallow on Board




This feels like a more old school smartphone, with an extra frame around the edges, that looks more like glass than metal. The format is rectangular with slightly rounded corners and we’ve got dual front speakers. The volume buttons are a bit too low to be comfy, to be honest, but the Power button is placed right where it needs to be. This doesn’t feel like an out of the ordinary render, but rather a predictable one.
It’s true that we can’t see the back or the potential maker of the phone, but this feels more like LG and less like Huawei. In the end two aspects must always be taken into account: an ergonomic and resilient case. Beauty is also important, but neglected by so many device makers today… Not everyone is Samsung after all, as they did a truly fine job with the Galaxy models this year.  I’d still like to see the back of the Nexus 5.2 before truly judging it.
